Informing our kids about sex education can be daunting but necessary to let them know about the risk of unwanted pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and their responsibility with the consequences of any sexual act. Make them aware about the birth control pills such as Yasmin or Yaz lawsuit to prevent pregnancy, abstinence and condom to protect themselves from sexually transmitted diseases. Although it is better to teach them to preserve their virginity, it is not harmful to teach them how to protect their bodies if the situation comes.

As parents, it is our duty to prepare our children for anything they are about to face especially when they are facing adult life. Have an open communication with them so that they will feel comfortable for any issues each of you will open. It is very important to guide them and let them become aware of any physical and emotional harmful effects to their body if they will not protect themselves. It is better to provide them knowledge to save them from ignorance so they would know what to do if they face those situations involving sexuality. Explain to them the hardships of getting pregnant at an early age. Let them know that pregnancy is a serious responsibility. A one night stand may make their whole life miserable if it ends into early pregnancy or worst to sexually transmitted disease.

Children should know that sex is intended for married couples. Nowadays, the liberal mind of teens has accepted sex as part of their relationship. If it is hard for a parent to preach them about getting in a sexual relationship, maybe it would be better to teach them how to use the birth control methods such as condoms, pills, rings and birth shots. But it is better if they should use condoms to prevent sexually transmitted disease since they are not yet in an exclusive relationship such as marriage.
